My shore collection fuses west of Ireland ruggedness with minimalist oriental aesthetics.
Sligo, Sligeach in the Irish language, means “the shelly place”. Where I live, powerful Atlantic waves tumble ashore onto wild isolated beaches, bringing fragments of shells in their wake. I love the feel and the shape of these tiny ocean remnants. My travels in Japan and China inspired a fusion of the Asian pared back aesthetic with the simplicity of the natural shells.
