Inspired by the poem by W B Yeats “He Wishes for the Colts of Heaven”, Martina Hamilton has created this stunning double heart pendant. The two hearts are intertwined to symbolise unbreakable bonds of love.
Yeats wished he could bring the Heavens embroidered cloths down here to earth for his beloved, and Martina has sought to do the same, embossing each heart with astral motifs for the sun, moon, planets and stars that are found etched onto stones at Ireland’s famous 6000 year old archaeological sites such as Newgrange and Knowth.
